Writing
Life happens, so I reply when I can reply. It’s usually based on inspiration or time available.
You can ask about replies though, especially if you’re really eager for something. You having a strong interest will probably make me want to reply sooner.
I prefer para/lit over script, and generally don’t do one-liners. I like my descriptions and inner thoughts.
I prefer pre-established relationships and plotting for big threads, but sporadic things and memes are fun too!
If brand new to me, I would like to do a little behind-the-scenes work first, to get an idea of where to go.
Format/Icon to your heart’s content, but please keep it legible and avoid really tiny fonts. If I can’t read, I can’t respond.
IMPORTANT: Lily, Alex, and Gilbert are all characters who have had a whole lifetime of reading, understanding, and manipulating people. This can be for good or for bad. But when it comes to making this work for rp, I will need to ask a lot of questions to make sure I’m giving them accurate thoughts about your characters. Please be prepared for me to possibly pester you with a bunch of questions before I can reply to things.
IMPORTANT: Threads that develop into major conflicts, especially ones that can result in serious injury, death, or major relationship changes, will require good, open, and honest discussion between the writers. We both need to be okay with the direction it’s going in, especially if the consequences will last outside of the thread or affect things with other people’s characters. We both reserve the right to alter, drop, delete, and consider non-canon if we don’t like where it’s going.
IMPORTANT: Characters vent to each other and get others involved and that’s fun and cool. It’s also fine for characters to have misconceptions and false/negative ideas about each other. But if your character is going to spread serious false ideas about mine (either from a misunderstanding, personal bias, or just plain false accusations), please run it by me real quick. I’ll usually say yes. But there are some things that I do NOT ever want associated with them, and which they would NEVER do: rape/sexual assault, Nazism, harm to children. (List is not exhaustive. I will add more as needed and expect them to be respected.)
IMPORTANT: I play Gilbert as a villain type character. He is a cruel, authoritarian, bitter old man. If that's not your cup of tea, I understand. I have 2 other characters right there you may enjoy. However, do not start any OOC drama because of something Gilbert (or anyone) has said, done, etc. I DO NOT ENDORSE WHATEVER GILBERT DOES. It's for story purposes only. IC =/= OOC, especially for Gilbert.
Shipping
Shipping is typically based on chemistry, but I am up to doing plotted ones, messy ones, things based on history/politics, etc.

I don’t do explicit smut, but lighter sexual themes, jokes, innuendos, etc. are fine. Fade to black will be used if sex happens in an rp.
Absolutely NO shipping with underage muns or muses
Alex is the sort of character who doesn't really go for genuine relationships. We can discuss shipping, but please understand upfront that he will be more difficult to make ships for.
It is highly unlikely I will ever do ships for Gilbert. Maybe it could happen in an AU, but even that seems unlikely. Sorry.

I don’t have triggers that need tagging but do reserve the right to back out if a topic becomes too much. Obviously this goes both ways.
Heavy and dark topics may be present at times (examples: violence, torture, abuse, etc.). I will ask my partner first before putting them in an rp, so as not to spring them on you. I will do my best to put warnings and tags on posts. My tagging system is the following:

I do read everyone’s rules, but my mind isn’t perfect (especially these days). If I miss a tag, overstep a boundary, or otherwise make you uncomfortable, please talk to me privately. It is only out of ignorance or forgetfulness, never malice. I will fix things as best I can.
If a thread deals with heavy topics, we need to be in constant discussion to make sure we’re respecting each other’s boundaries.
I may prefer to rp certain things in private on discord. This is a case-by-case basis.

Biography
Appearance:Although Gilbert may not be the tallest of men, his appearance may strike fear into those unused to him, or who are under him. His strikingly pale complexion and red eyes, combined with his insatiable bloodlust, have earned him many a "demon" nickname throughout the centuries, which he relishes in. His appearance reflects a stern, strict life, dedicated to training and being in peak physical condition.As a young knight, he was heavily muscular, adept at swinging a sword from the saddle of a horse. As he got older and knights became outdated, he thinned out some, but still maintained a strict regiment of healthy eating and daily exercise that kept him toned and battle ready.After the second World War, he gained a limp in his left leg, due to his knee having been blasted by shrapnel and not fully recovering. He uses an eagle-headed cane sword to compensate. Despite this, he walks with a straight posture and proud gait. He may appear as an older man now, but he is far from being weak, both physically and personality-wise.Occupation:Although Gilbert was born (in the literal sense) for a hospital order, his life has been full of the military. He was barely a boy when he and his Teutonic Order went crusading, and from then until after WWII, he has been in the military in some way, relishing in the thrill of battle.But, he is no mere dumb brute. He is intelligent and politically savvy, traits he gained from working closely with so many leaders over the centuries. He has long been close to politicians, kings, and even emperors.After WWII, he was prevented from working in the military directly. So, he has devoted his time to the political game more and more. The way he sees it, he is still fighting for his nation, but in a different front. During the Cold War, it was through intelligence agencies and propaganda. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, it has been primarily financial. He now works in the Federal Ministry of Finance (Bundesfinanzministerium), where he executes his power with the flourish of a fountain pen on crisp paper.Personality:Gilbert had humble origins. Born from a poor woman, he started out as a hospital order during the Crusades. His odd appearance had a way of either attracting people, or repelling them. Either way, he did not make friends easily. But when a Teutonic member realized what he was, a rep, he was taken in by the Order to be raised as theirs and legitimize their claims. He was raised as a pious lad, and he was eager to please his elders and mentors.When the order switched from being a hospital to crusading knights, he of course followed suit. And, he soon found a love for the battlefield. He craved the thrill of the fight, and the way life hung in the balance every second of it. He learned to savor victory, and learn from defeat. He also began to see himself as above others, particularly the people he fought against. He began to perceive himself as being specially ordained by God. The knights encouraged this, and his self-confidence grew and grew and warped itself into narcissism, which has persisted to this day. Yes, even now, despite not having a nation in his name anymore, he still sees himself as special, and above the rest. After all, he has survived, despite the world's many attempts on his life. So he must be meant for grand things.This narcissism feeds into everything in his life. He pushes himself to be the best at whatever he attempts. He does not give up easily, but persists, even stubbornly so. He expects to be treated with great respect, even reverence. And when it comes to his family members, both rep and human (yes, he had human wives and children in the past), he sees them as extensions of himself, thus pushing them towards greatness too (though they should not rise above him) and exhibiting grave disappointment when they do not reach his extremely high expectations.He is not an affectionate man. He comes off as cold to many, although those who have lived with him for a long time may be able to recognize subtle hints of warmth when he shows it. But he is not obnoxiously rude. He simply follows German manners and social rules very strictly, and does not worry how that comes across to those unused to it.He does not typically love others. He is more prone to using them for his own gains first. But he often does so slyly. He is a patient man when it comes to his plans, and he is willing to play the long game.Ideology:Gilbert is an authoritarian, believing that the strong are meant to be in charge, and the weak are meant to submit to that without question. He believes in a "natural order" of things, which always places him at or near the top. He is also a traditionalist, and does not jump on trends quickly, if at all. For the longest time, he remained a monarchist, even after Germany lost its royalty. That being said, he does know how to adapt to new regimes. He does not risk his standing by being a rebel. If God (or the world) has placed a new government before him, then so be it. He will be loyal to it so long as it serves him, and when it is time to move on, it is time to move on. He has seen regimes come and go, and does not mourn them anymore.He is also an environmentalist, although this stems from a belief that man is meant to have dominion over nature, and preserve it for his own use.Religion:Gilbert started off Catholic, and was loyal to it for a long time. It was only when Prussian leaders themselves switched to Lutheranism that he did as well. He stayed true to this faith for centuries, but began to feel less keen on it after WWI and into WWII. During the Cold War, he was a loyal state atheist, and raised his Berlin children to be so as well. After the Reunification of Germany, he remained mostly atheist, but has recently taken up Lutheranism again, though just barely. He believes in God, sort of, and attends some church services. He can still recite the Bible by heart, and has kept several copies in his library to this day, even if he doesn't read them now.

Residence:Gilbert lives in a stately house within the city of Berlin, which he has owned for centuries. It is large, with multiple rooms, including his home office, private gym, and a library. It even still has servants' quarters, although they are not in use anymore, except as storage spaces for his many memorabilia. The house is kept in a perfect state of cleanliness, although not by the man himself. He has a housekeeper (Frau Wagner), who works 5 days a week, with weekends and holidays off. Gilbert himself is tidy enough in his habits that the place is never dirty. There is a spacious garden and yard in the back, where he enjoys sitting and reading with a cigar and brandy during the warmer months.He also owns hunting lands outside of Berlin, and a ranch where he raises horses.Pets:Gilbert has owned a number of animals over his life, primarily horses, dogs, and falcons. Of these, only a few dogs have been immortal, though not forever, and not at the same time. There have been a few dogs of his that lived well past a doggy life, even into centuries. However, when it seems like Gilbert ought to die, such as the end of WWII, for example, the dog has died instead.His current dog is a female standard Schnauzer named Marie. So far, she's proven to be immortal. She is fiercely loyal to Gilbert and Gilbert alone. She doesn't bark much, but is standoffish to most other people, even those who visit often. She is well trained, and knows Gilbert's habits well. She enjoys a walk with him in the mornings and evenings.Gilbert also owns land where he breeds horses. He always has a favorite horse that he personally rides when he goes out. His current one is true white stallion, named Adler.Vehicles:Blue Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG: Gilbert prides himself of being able to own the best, and his car should be no exception. Of course, he would gravitate towards an expensive, German brand. He enjoys the high performance and speeds, especially out on the Autobahn. He maintains it well.Black 2019 VW Amarok Pickup Truck: As a frequent outdoorsman, Gilbert decided that it was more practical for him to own a truck, rather than renting it every time he wanted to go camping, hunting, or fishing. Although he does not drive it more than he needs to, he still maintains this one as well.
